Ingredients

  • 1 medium orange
  • 1/8 cup frozen orange juice not from concentrate-can
  • 1 12 ounce package fresh or frozen cranberries
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ cup unsweetened applesauce
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ½ cup pure maple syrup

Instructions

  • Remove 2 teaspoons zest and squeeze 1⁄4 cup juice from orange
  • In a medium saucepan combine orange juice, frozen orange juice, cranberries, water, applesauce, cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg.
  • Bring just to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer for 15 minutes or until most of the cranberries pop and mixture is slightly thick, stirring occasionally.
